M! editorial note 2026-0831 (Lee Ka-sing: Photographs in Echo with Works in ONE POEM Zine)

 M! is a new section of MONDAY ARTPOST, gradually taking its own shape. It is not intended as a regular section; rather, it may fill the space during periods when the weekly embedded ARCHIVE is absent. In the future, ARCHIVE is planned to move to a biweekly schedule, and M! will provide an open space within MONDAY ARTPOST between its appearances.

M! is compiled from the Lee Ka-sing and Holly Lee Archive, continuing its main focus on the archive and on recent works by the duo. At the same time, it takes a looser approach, gathering raw materials that may later become part of the editorial development of ARCHIVE, at different levels and in different forms.

The main backbone of MONDAY ARTPOST is formed by columns contributed by different artists and writers. M! may also, from time to time, provide a space for a portfolio or a series of works by a selected artist. This is something we did not have a platform for in our previous practice, and M! allows us to open that possibility.

In this issue, we publish a selection from Lee Ka-sing’s DIPTYCH DIARY, from those visual responses created for ONE POEM ZINE, published every Wednesday.

With its full title, OCEAN POUNDS ONE POEM, the OP OP zine began in early 2026, with one poem published each week. Each quarter, the publication is edited by an invited guest editor. Ka-sing, as publisher, responds to each poem in the issue with a piece of visual work—an instant response, as he describes it, sometimes direct and sometimes indirect.
